Main research interests:

My research focuses on wildlife population ecology (including threatened species and sustainable use of wildlife) within the framework of adaptive management. I am also interesting in the effect of different land use (like habitat fragmentation) on wildlife. My main research is about predator-prey interactions (Eurasian lynx-roe deer (in cooperation with the roe deer project) and lynx-reindeer) as well as predator-predator interaction (lynx-wolf (in cooperation with the wolf project) and lynx-wolverine(in cooperation with the wolverine project)). I am also involved in a research programme about adaptive management of fish and wildlife population. My part in this programme is about monitoring of wildlife and to describe an optimal monitoring system, for e.g. moose and lynx, to reduce unwanted effects of management decisions.
